I have been advised following a lengthy conversation with a director at the club that the transfer targets are below:
Forwards – 1 from these:
Henry, he would be used as a make–weight in any deal involving Masc.
Villa – Potential deal next season, he won't be signed this year as he does not want to move to a new leage before the World Cup.
Ruud Van Nis – This is possible, 2 year deal, wants to return to England, & Raffa is keen as he can get him for £2 Million, I personally would have gone back in for Owen!
Darren Bent – Linked to LFC previously before moving to Spurs, however Rafa would not pay anymore than £6 Million for the lad, possible foil for Torres, Plus he is english!
Should Alonso be sold, then the possible replacements are Scott Parker, XAVI or Yaka Toure from Barca.
These are possible bids, not set in stone, but potentials, Steven Taylor from Newcastle, again english, more of a squad player behing Agger & Skirtel.
David Bentley or Shaun Wright–Philips – Both english, & potential signing, & one remote outside bet is Damien Duff!
It is also understood that Owen has a clause written into his Man Utd contract that if Liverpool come in for him, he can go!"
